"Caring, Sharing, Growing, Reaching Out in Faith" -- welcome to St. Philip Anglican Church. At St. Philip, we have a proud past and an adventurous spirit. We use the Processional Cross and Font inherited from St. Philip, Balgonie. The bell from St. George's, Pilot Butte, has its home at Living Spirit Centre. We have deep roots in the Anglican traditions (in East Regina and area) but have stayed open to the challenges of the future and meeting peoples' spiritual need in our own time. As partners in the Shared Ministry, St. Philip maintains its unique Anglican service and identity while sharing in many ecumenical ventures including education, worship, fellowship and outreach. These are exciting times! The Parish of St. Philip Anglican Church has been in a lengthy period of visioning and discernment. For a number of years we have been intentionally developing ministries to enable us to move our mission forward. The congregation and its leadership have taken seriously our resources and God's call to us in the South East of Regina. That discernment led us to a shared ministry and building. St. Philip has also built a significant link to the surrounding community with the Al Ritchie Health area and with Habitat for Humanity. The present goal in remaining faithful to God's mission for St. Philip, is to continue to grow inside and out. St. Philip wants to continue to be an "outward" looking community. St. Philip has grown in many ways and is well blessed with various levels of trained lay people and youth. Over the next five to ten years St. Philip intends to grow the congregation, deepen its spiritual and prayer life, enable all age participation in worship and social action and deepen the commitment to service in the Al Ritchie community. St. Philip leadership and congregation have been exploring many options to realize our mission and ministry. There is an excitement around many leadership initiatives. |
