Baptism is the right of initiation into the Christian church.  People of all ages are welcome to the baptismal waters.  Baptisms are done within the Sunday morning worship service where the community of believers gather to support the newly baptized.  Godparents are chosen by the family and make promises during the service to help strengthen the newly baptized in their faith journey.  When baptizing a baby or child, the parents are also present and make a commitment.

Before the Sunday baptism, the baptismal party (individual, godparents, and potentially parents of the child) gather with other families to prepare.  Feel free to bring your questions about baptism.  Pastor Carla leads this gathering and will explain what baptism means, as well as walk you through the worship service.  To arrange for a baptism, please call the church office.
